Microsoft Outlook is stupid

February 4th 2008

So I have to use Outlook at work. I say have to because I really don’t like it.

I have it setup to move emails to a folder instead of leaving them in my inbox, because they are just stupid build notification emails, that I still like to look at but really don’t need past 5 seconds.

The problem is, when Outlook pops up it’s little message to say I got a message, if I click it, it whines because the message isn’t in the inbox anymore and it can’t find the message. So I actually have to go into Outlook and look at the message, then move off the message so it gets marked as read, and then move back to it and delete it. Lame.

January 25th 2008

This is totally cool. I’m definitely going to make use of this. You should too. Also pet a puppy.

Yay Futureshop!

January 14th 2008

So I started my new job today.

BioWare.

I love my program :D

That’s not the story though. Even though it’s BioWare, they don’t just hand out sick mice and keyboards to their coop students (although my computer is badass). Naturally I brought my own keyboard. I brought my Das Keyboard which I used at my last job, as I have a Das Keyboard II at home, and it’s gold. I plug that in, but I have this craptastic Microsoft mouse. I hate it. Luckily there is a Futureshop nearby, so after work, I decide to head over and look for a mouse, as I don’t have any I can just up and take to work.

I mosey back to the mice, and what do you know? The G5 is marked at $59.99 from their boxing week sale. Still marked at $59.99. The G5 they have is the new one with two thumb buttons, back AND forward! Zing!

So I grab two, and pay $120 for the both of them, versus the $110 that they were scanning in as individually :)

Sweet!
