An Exercise in Irony

Here’s something fun.
Get your camera, and head over the University of Alberta Hospital, 114 Street Entrance. Why bring your camera, you may ask. Yes, I just gave you permission, so go ahead and ask.
Alright well I’ll tell you.
What you’ll see are benches. On those benches are no smoking signs. The benches sit on the sidewalk, or patio, whatever you want to call it. On that patio are sandwich board signs, also displaying the no smoking sign.
What’s interesting about this whole scenario, is that sitting on the bench and standing next to the sign are people. And they are smoking.
There is more than one person obviously. Oh there couldn’t be just one or two! That wouldn’t be fun. There is usually anywhere from 5 to 10 people out there at a time, and they are typically all smoking.
Oh the irony. The location where the most no smoking signs are located is the area of congregation for all the smokers in the hospital.
Take some pictures. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Things I Hate (Today)

- 10 Meg file size limits on email attachments.
- The fact that it costs $1.00 to scan something…SCAN!
- The price of beverages on campus. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t cost $2.75 for a bottle of coke, especially with an exclusive deal with Coca Cola.
- The Edmonton Transit system…20 minutes late on a bus that runs every 30 minutes. Thanks!
- Wireless internet.
- Losing USB keys.
