buffer overflow

Well I didn’t get nearly as much done on the weekend as I wanted to. Was just kind of bummed out all weekend and didn’t feel like doing much of anything. I tried playing around with the PARUS stuff but I couldn’t get subversion compiled on the ParallelKnoppix setup (why it wasn’t installed is beyond me…also vi and emacs were missing…*sigh*) and it didn’t even occur to me to use one of my other computers to get the repo. I have my moments.

Regardless, the weekend came and gone. Played Supreme Commander with my roommate and decided that my computer can’t handle 20km x 20km maps with 6 AI players. Just too much stuff going on. Also picked up Armored Core 4 and GRAW 2 for the Xbox 360. Played GRAW 2 and it’s fun times. I enjoy it. Haven’t touched AC4 yet but it’s promising. Now just waiting for CnC 3 and I’ll be set. w00t!

This is a life saver. I hate ODBC and MSSQL Server. Everything works so nice with MySQL, but when you are on Windows and having to deal with it’s crap, ODBC can help out and this page generates the connection string for you. Granted the string isn’t that complex, it’s still nice to not have to think about getting stuff connected, and be able to worry about the actual data and what you’re going to do with it.

This looks really cool. I can setup a ParallelKnoppix cluster at home in like 5 minutes, so this weekend I am going to try to play with this. Hopefully I won’t get lazy and I can post some info.
